Service Description

The workshop will cover basic and advanced throwing techniques. Techniques will include production techniques, compound forms, sectional forms, hollow forms, teapots, etc. and a general discussion of various techniques on wheel throwing, tools and decoration. Questions are encouraged. The first day will entail throwing techniques and the second day will involve assembling and decoration of forms. Non-trimmed forms will be emphasized during the wheel throwing segment. Decoration techniques will emphasize stamping and carving techniques. Note that these are demonstrations by Dwain Naragon, though we do have pottery wheels available for those wishing to try the techniques after the class. Workshop times will run from 9:00am-5:00pm on May 15-16. Participants should bring a lunch and or snacks to tide them over. The cost for both workshops is only $25. Must have at least 3 participants.
